PREPARATION IS KEY
March 23rd, 2006
It is vitally important that you go to an interview totally PREPARED! With the accessibility of information on the Internet there really is no excuse not to research any company who has booked an interview for you.
When you go to their website, review their homepage but also click on every link to learn as much as you can about the company culture, their leaders, articles that have been published about their firm, their mission and their history. In addition, make sure you go to www.google.com and put in the name of the company. Often you will surface additional information about the company that will prepare you even more.
If you don’t have a chance to let the interviewer know what you have learned about their company, during the interview process, utilize this knowledge when you are asking questions. I read where your company _______________, and was wondering how that will affect the growth of your company in the future? If you are asked why you want to work for them, your research on their company assists you in answering this question more effectively.
An interview is an AUDITION. You can NEVER be too prepared!
Good luck at your next interview….Barb Bruno, CPC
