HOW CAN YOU STAND OUT?

The main problem with classified ads and Internet postings is your resume gets lost in the stacks of resumes the hiring authorities receive as a result of these ads.
If you want to stand out follow this plan guaranteed to work!
1. Do your homework
2. Call companies you have identified as targets
3. Identify the name and exact title of the person, who would be your future boss
4. Handwrite an envelope to this person with the words “PERSONAL & CONFIDENTIAL” written in
the bottom left hand corner of the envelope.
This person DOES NOT get many resumes! Many times a hiring authority may not have an actual opening, they may have not discussed the fact that they would like to replace someone in their department and then they get your resume. This is one of the most effective ways to get the attention of decision makers and possibly land your next opportunity.
You need to try many different ways to get the attention of decisions makers and STAND OUT, and this is one of the best ways to get your resume in the hands of possibly your future employer!
